The titan scorpionfish (Scorpaenopsis cacopsis ) is the most venomous fish in Hawaiian waters and is the leading cause of death from wildlife contact among vacationers (unless you count my cousin Leroy). Care must be taken around scorpionfish. Of course it's easy to be careful when you know they are there - can you see the fish in this picture? Granted, it's not the best picture, but you get the idea. |
