- The images below were taken on February 10, 2005.
- The top image is of a normal uninfected female cladoceran with an egg cluster visible inside the body.
- The second image is of a female cladoceran whos eggs have hatched. This animal must have been fixed right before the juveniles were released.
- The third image is of a parasitized female cladoceran. Notice the thickness of the cyst wall and the relative size of the cyst in proportion to the size of the host. This is a HUGE cyst.
